Rock Band and a New "Do"

Matt has been playing Rock Band with his co-workers for a few weeks and had been telling me how great it was, so I guess I wasn't totally shocked when he walked through the door with the toy of his own. The antics of our children have left me little time to actually play, however I think it will be a hit for many years to come.

And, so as not to shock anyone coming to Amanda's wedding, I went and got my hair chopped off yesterday. It was time -- that post-pregnancy hair loss + long hair was clogging up the shower drain just one too many times!

Now, I know there are some of you out there who do not like the short hair look on yours truly. You know who you are...... Don't worry, it will grow back:)

Have a good weekend!

Relaxing Summer

It's been a pleasant, relaxing summer week for the Lipsey's. We've gone to the pool, had dinners with friends and family, and had a generally good week. We are super excited for The Smith's and Kelly, as they have just announced that they are expecting babies. Woo Hoo!

There were no new pictures from this week, so I will try to do better this next week! We did go to a Traveler's game, and for Meredith the best part about it was the kids section. The stadium sold wristbans for several inflatable bounce houses, and kids could come and go as they pleased. Of course Meredith really just wanted to stay there the whole night, but we did seem to get her away from there for a little ice cream. She was pretty tired that night from all her bouncing!

I'll try to look out for more blogable material this week....

Let the Teaching Begin

Russ may have been more interested in the exersaucer, but Meredith was just too cute reciting one of her favorite books, No No Yes Yes, to him.

Outrigger Island

Rachel, Meredith, and Russ just spent a week on Outrigger Island. While it was not a relaxing paradise with people bringing us drinks with small umbrellas in them; it was a fun week of Vacation Bible School. Rachel taught a 1st grade class with Laura, and we had 20 on our roll. This was a little unexpected because the 1st grade Sunday School class at Park Hill only has 10 kids on roll, and only 5 of those kids came to VBS. Anyways, we played lots of games, learned new songs, ate a lot of snacks, and learned the ABC's of becoming a follower of Christ. They were a sweet group, and I hope that they had a good time as well.

Meredith and Russ also had a wonderful VBS. Thank you to Ms. Davi, Ms. Melissa, Ms. Alex, and Ms. Rachel for watching Meredith; and to Ms. Nina, Ms. Pat, and Ms. Carrie for watching Russ. They had a great week. Here is a picture of Meredith enjoying herself.

Flashback Friday

In two days Matt and I will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. In our current season of spit-ups and diaper changes, it is so easy to forget that the real beginning of our family started on that day as we vowed before our God, our family, and our friends that we would love and commit to each other. I am so blessed to have a man that not only loves me, but also loves the Lord. A man who challenges me, but also is my biggest fan. A guy who will pamper me, but also push me to be my best.

So, our plan is to go out and have a nice dinner together for our anniversary. After that, we will need to go work-out :) We've got to get in good shape before our church directory photos and my class reunion this summer. See what I mean about challenging each other!

Anyways, go kiss your spouse and remember how much they mean to you to help us celebrate our anniversary!

Time Flies

The Lipsey's are back on the mend after Russ had been sick for much of last week. We are finally back to normal again, and hope that each of you has not had to endure too much sickness in your family!

First, I've started a facebook account if you haven't already gotten a notification from me. No more social networks friends! I can only check e-mail, blog comments, myspace, facebook and the KD network (oh yes, as Alum Association President I have to stay busy on that one too). Yikes! I'm gonna have to set a timer and limit my time of these things, because its so easy to get caught up in everybody's business. In fact, you find out so much just reading other people's comments on their pages. Engagements, pregnancies, new jobs -- its amazing. I have fulfilled my nosey quotient for at least a week:) Anyways, if you have an account send me a friend request.

Speaking of KD, I went to Leigha's wedding last night; and my HUSBAND had to remind me that we sing a song to the bride. It's apparently been a long time since I've done this, but the words did come back to me for Follow Me. Matt is a little concerned because "a man" was let into the circle during the song. At least I know that AOT does not mean "I spat on that."

So, here are some pictures from the past few weeks. We hope that your summer starts off great! We have a relaxing week this week before VBS starts the next.
