Spring has Sprung

We have been busy having a fantastic start to spring. Nothing really too interesting to note.....

Happy 3rd Birthday, Meredith

Sweet girl, you have turned 3 today. While we would have prefered to not be celebrating your birthday while you are recovering from the stomach flu, this is the day that God has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it (while you lounge on the couch and watch some TV).

God has blessed us with a beautiful, strong-willed, and caring young girl who is finding her own voice in this world. We love how you pray for your friends and family at prayer time, and want to know if we will see "so and so" today.

Your favorite things include Chick-fil-A, Little Einsteins, dancing, coloring, painting, throwing sticks in the creek, swinging, sliding, riding the toys at Wal-Mart, washing the dishes, and reading. You have learned so much this past year (but potty training is the only thing that comes to your mommy's mind at the moment), and we can't wait to watch as you discover new things in the future.

Big Daddy Opens New Office

Meredith and Russ are very excited for Big Daddy and Dee Dee as they open up shop in their new office. They both checked out the new desk, office equipment, and blinds and deemed the place open for buisness. Oh how the DVR has changed our lives

As a child of the 21st century, Meredith would not recognize the way I grew up. When she wants to watch a TV show, she knows that mommy and daddy can turn on the TV, push a few buttons, and find the exact show that she wants to watch. While this is a great achievement in technology, it does have some unexpected consequences.

The beloved Charlie Brown shows are a favorite and last fall we taped The Great Pumpkin episode for the enjoyment of our toddlers. Image my surprise to hear that the following words come out of darling daughter, "If you hold my hang, I'll slug you."

I was quite concerned with this rather harsh language that came out of my child's mouth. But, Sally sure did tell Linus that in the pumpkin patch waitng for the Great Pumpkin to arrive (I honestly thought that a line like that HAD to come out of the mouth of Lucy). However, Matt is elated. He has conqured Step 1 in future dating challenges - punch out any boy that comes close to you. Oh how our lives will never be the same again.

We’ll do a sign up for snacks, and the kids can bring Valentines for their playgroup friends.

NOTE: This is Saturday morning, and not Friday morning.

Feb 20th Clinton Library meet at 10 AM
Celebrate President’s Day a few days late. (Kids are free, Adults $7)
