Idea Help for Thanksgiving for Kids

I'm in need of some idea help for Thanksgiving for young kids. First, I've got a scheduled playgroup this Friday and we are having a Thanksgiving feast. Any cute ideas that you have seen for this age group?

Also, I've got my Pre-K choir group next week. Crafts, games, food, etc. I'm hoping that my teacher friends will have some cute ideas they have done in the past.

Any suggestions are very welcome!

I always loved making the place mats where you cross/weave different colors of paper. You could have them decorate a paper bag vest or head piece made of construction paper with potato stamps. I have done this with that age group before and they loved it! We also had a turkey bowling game, corn to the turkey toss, and pin the beak on the turkey..

As for a snack or treat I know the little kids like Monkey Mix
Cheerios, coconut, raisins or craisins, and chocolate chips
I made those into balls once with peanut butter and didn't put the chocolate chips in them.
Just thoughts! I am sure they are obvious..but they might help!

For the playgroup kids, I think their ages are a bit young for organized crafts. Maybe just have a cornucopia and some food (real or fake) to put in it... or perhaps little Indian and pilgrim dolls... And then for the food, have turkey sandwiches and sweet potato fries. (I can bring the turkey sandwiches, actually.)

hey! the boys had a thankful feast at MDO this week complete with chicken nuggets, cheese and fruit. They each made construction paper place mats laminated with contact paper. They also made turkeys by attaching feathers to pinecones (and the little decorative eyes.
We did thankful turkeys at home this week. (paper plates with feathers out of construction paper that each of the kids told me things they were thankful for and we wrote it on there) also look at KidZone.ws for cute coloring pages to print off - they could color them, put feathers, or other decorations on them)
